More “Love Letters” from our readers
She was there for me
By Michael Klepper
My wife and I grew up in the area, going to rival local high schools (Poway and Mt. Carmel). As fate would have it, we both ended up working at Claim Jumper after high school, which is where we met.
When I broke my leg, she was there taking care of me and bringing me Jamba Juice as often as I needed.
Fast forward 13 years. We are still here and now have a family of our own. The qualities that I fell in love with (humor, compassion, patient, just to name a few) are the same that make her an excellent teacher. Those who know “Mrs. Klepper” get to experience her uplifting personality each day. I couldn’t be more proud of her and all of the hard work that she put into her students and her family.
Happy Valentines Day, honey! Love ya!
You are on my mind
By Lee Okeson
“You were always on my mind.” Those are the plaintive words of the popular Willie Nelson song. It has also been in my thoughts for the 56 years with my wife, Marlene. You are always on my mind and will continue to be.
Love You!
Our love is here to stay
By Fred and Sandi Robinson
The old love story by George Gershwin says it all: “Not for a year, but every and a day.” We’ve been married over 56 years and are still very much in love.
“Together we’re going a long, long way.” Our journey has taken us from the East Coast across the country to various locations in California. We’re finally settled in Rancho Bernardo, enjoying retirement, along with being close to our children and grandchildren. Our relationship has been severely tested this journey, but God and his promises, our “though sickness and health” portion of our wedding vows has been strengthened and has proven that “Our love is here to stay.”
