Rancho Bernardo credit union robbed
(CNS) - A man in a red shoulder-length wig robbed a Rancho Bernardo credit union office Friday afternoon.
The thief, who appeared to be in his 30s or early 40s, demanded money from a teller at the Mission Federal branch in the 11800 block of Rancho Bernardo Road shortly before 3:30 p.m., according to San Diego police.
After the clerk handed over an undisclosed amount of cash, the bandit walked outside, got into a waiting black Ford Focus and was driven out of the
area, Officer Frank Cali said.
The robber was described as a white man wearing a black-and-white baseball cap on top of the wig. There was no description of the getaway driver.
