Forecast: 70 tons of snow in Poway
Annual Winter Festival offers kids’ activities, skating, food, specialty vendors and more
The holidays may be over, but there’s still plenty of winter fun to be found as the forecast for the fourth annual Winter Festival in Poway calls for 70 tons of snow — the man-made kind.
Come ready to sled down the hill (four runs this year) and skate on the ice rink. A signed waiver, available at the event, is required to skate.
Festivities also include a bounce house, face painting, wood crafts for the kids, a caricaturist, nine food vendors, specialty vendors and winter-themed music.
Gather around a fire pit and toast s’mores for $1, with proceeds benefiting Poway teen programs.
